There’s an important football game happening on Sunday, but let’s be honest: You came here for the puppers.

Animal Planet’s Puppy Bowl XV is set to happen on the same day as the NFL’s Super Bowl LIII, and Tampa Bay is sending its own fluffy, four-legged football chasers to the event.

WFLA says that two Bay area pups are headed to the Puppy Bowl, but a visit to animalplanet.com only led us to Emmitt, a 15-week-old Australian cattle dog and Boykin spaniel mix who holds the record for “most pawsessions in the league.”

Emmitt was brought to Zephyrhills’ Planned Pethood along with his six brothers following a hoarding case in the next county, according to the television station.

Folks at the 10-year-old spay and neuter clinic added that from the beginning, Emmitt was super feisty despite being the smallest in size (just three pounds).
