Hinkle last week ruled that a state prohibition against Medicaid coverage for gender-affirming care such as puberty blockers and hormone therapy is unconstitutional.

DeSantis, Ivey and Central Florida Tourism Oversight District officials are the named defendants in the case.

The bill was championed by DeSantis and Republican legislative allies.
