Jedi, Sith, droids and troopers took over Tropicana Field on Saturday, September 21, for an intergalactic meeting of Star Wars nerds and baseballs nerds. As John Williams’ “Star Wars” theme trumpeted throughout the almost-full stadium, Chewbacca strode onto the field to throw the first ball. Kids and adults stood in line to ham it up for pictures with characters, enjoyed a breakdancing C-3P0 and got to bring home Jedi Zobrist, a player-Star Wars mash-up bobblehead.
