The Children’s Gasparilla Parade has been part of Tampa’s Gasparilla celebration since 1947. It took place along beautiful Bayshore Boulevard, begining at Bay to Bay Blvd. & proceeding north along Bayshore, ending at Watrous/Orleans Avenues & Bayshore (approx. 1.4 miles). For the first time in history it was broadcasted live on FOX 13. I caught the tail end of the parade, and the overcast day did not stop the tradition.
