The United States of America is usually on the cutting edge of green policies, and President Obama has pledged to have one million electric vehicles on the American roads and highways by 2015. One of President Obama's main goals during his presidency is to reduce the carbon footprint left by mankind on the earth, and he also wants to eliminate the dependency on foreign oil so that Americans will no longer be dependent on foreign countries to fuel their vehicles.
