The one sweet sound bite from House Speaker John Boehner's line in rejecting what President Obama had said just moments before was, "No blank checks."

Since Obama has already agreed (no, not in writing, but) to trillions of dollars in cuts (an agreement that Boehner said Obama broke last week), to say he wants a blank check to continue spending seems a tad disingenuous.
