Just because the latest season of Top Chef is over doesn't mean we here at the Top Chef Podcast are ready to give up doing what we do every week. That's why we'll be around for a few more weeks analyzing and kvetching about Top Chef Las Vegas, but with an extra surprise – interviews with cheftestants!
This week I had the privilege of chatting with Robin Leventhal, infamous for being the underdog of the season who made it quite far (a lot father than most would have guessed). She dishes on her career, upcoming projects, the b.s. she had to deal with concerning other contestants, her pick for the winner, and what really happened behind the scenes.
She also made this comment later about the fact that Eli still wouldn't apologize to her during the reunion:
"It's tragic that he floundered and missed the opportunity to redeem himself. That fact only reinforced that he has a long way to go in regards to being a respectful or considerate person. One thing I do know is we all grow in our own time and manners. I hope Eli gets it someday…but worse would be if those were values from a bygone generation."
Robin is undoubtedly a talented chef, very passionate about her craft, and she definitely stayed true to herself throughout the competition.
