Remember Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos?
The famed conservative blowhard announced that, as a way to aid Hillary Clinton in her losing battle against Barack Obama for the Democratic party nomination in early 2008, Republicans should switch party allegiance and become Democrats so they could vote for the former First Lady, making the Democratic nomination more "chaotic" than it already was.
Did El Rushbo's exhortations make any difference? Some say there was a noticeable effect in Ohio and Texas. The Huffington Post's Sam Stein reported some indication of such an effect in Indiana as well.
With President Obama running unopposed in the Democratic primary this campaign season, obviously all of the fun has been on the GOP side, which is why this reporter registered as a Republican earlier this week in order to vote in the January 31 primary here in Florida.
