Tonight at the Pier Aquarium’s monthly SciCafé discussion, the topic of conversation will be the before and after effects of the recent Japan tsunami monster wave which caused major loss of life and as estimated $308 billion in massive damage.

Guest scientists will be Charlie Paxton, meteorologist and science and operations officer, Tampa Bay Area National Weather Service Office, Eric Steimle, Ph.D., owner of St. Petersburg-based Applied Environmental and Ocean Sciences (AEOS) and Karen Dreger, research technician, University of South Florida Center for Ocean Technology. The café will be moderated by Rob Lorei, WMNF's news director.
