Wednesday, July 17
The Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) meets from 6:30 — 8 p.m. at Metro Wellness and Community Center’s Tampa location, 1315 E. 7th Ave. The GLSEN meets the third Wednesday of every month and strives to assure that each member of every school community is valued and respected regardless of sexual orientation of gender identity/expression. Meetings are open to the public.
Thursday, July 18
The Broken Tusk, 4685 28th St. N., St. Petersburg, kicks off its weekly Krave Ladies Night which will be held every Thursday, 9 p.m. — 3 a.m. Enjoy karaoke and dancing with DJ LMo.
Got a rant or a story or a poem? Pick up the mic and show off your stuff at Oral Fixation’s LGBTQ monthly open mic on Thursday, April 18 at Ybor City’s R Bar, 1820 North 15th St., Tampa. Doors open at 9; show starts at 10 p.m. Performers of all types are welcome and encouraged to share their art.
