We didn’t get a chance to dive into it as part of our music feature, but the addition of Lauren Morrow to the Have Gun, Will Travel album release show feels extra special this time around.

The songwriter is no stranger to the area, but she’s recently shed her band, The Whiskey Gentry, and embarked on a solo career that’s caught the attention of industry observers and music magazines like Rolling Stone, which fell in love with Morrow’s recent cover of Oasis B-side “Talk Tonight” where “the Whiskey Gentry wrapped her pristine voice around Gallagher’s lyrics of heartbreak and despair.” Morrow supports a self-titled EP at this show and will most likely join Have Gun onstage at some point.

Have Gun, Will Travel Album Release Party w/Lauren Morrow/FayRoy. Sat., July 13. 8 p.m. $10-$15. Crowbar, Ybor City. brokenmoldentertainment.com.
