The Goody Goody Sunday Run won’t force you to gulp packets of the Tampa restaurant’s POX instead of running gel, but it does get your lazy ass up before the buttcrack of dawn for a relaxed run that hits Bayshore Boulevard, downtown Tampa and Harbour Island.

Run Tampa organizers insist that all paces are encouraged to join and that no one should feel like they have to keep up with anyone. The jog leaves from (and ends at) the fountain in the middle of Hyde Park Village at 7 a.m., which should get you back in time to order and eat two helpings of Goody Goody’s “Slinger” plate without feeling guilty at all.

Sun. April 21, 7 a.m. Hyde Park Village. 1509 W. Swann Ave., Tampa. 7 a.m. runtampa.com.
