If you haven’t been paying attention to The Ritz Ybor’s new throwback Thursday hip-hop bookings, then you’ve been slipping — and not the way Mystikal slipped when he played the venue last week.
The concert series opened up with the July booking of Houston rapper Lil Flip, and it rolled into an August performance from Mystikal, who unfortunately lost his footing and fell before having to be helped offstage (reps for the New Orleans rapper told CL that he was OK).
The oldies, but goodies, keep on coming, too as Chingy (“Right Thurr,” 2003) and Twista (“Slow Jamz,” 2004) have been booked to play separate shows on September 5 and October 3, respectively. Ticket prices for the are also throwback at just $10. (Chingy postponed his show until November 21 due to Hurricane Dorian).
