School’s out, and that means Tampa Theatre wants to beat the heat by hosting matinee screenings of some of the most beloved films of the last century in its historic downtown building.

Disney’s 1940 version of “Fantasia” hits the big screen this Sunday, June 25 as part of the 32-years-running series, and just a few weeks later Bruce Lee will be kicking ass in the iconic 1973 film “Enter the Dragon” (Sunday, July 2).

From black and white classics to beloved children’s movies, other works of art that Tampa Theatre has in store for the rest of the summer include:

The Breakfast Club (July 16)
2001: A Space Odyssey (July 23)
The Lion King (July 30)
Planet of the Apes (Aug. 6)
Titanic (Aug. 13)
Casablanca (Aug. 20)
The Silent Clowns (Aug. 27)

Tickets to the Summer Classics movie series at Tampa Theatre are $7-$10.
