An old friend comes home this weekend when Clearwater Jazz Holiday returns to Coachman Park. The space has undergone a wondrous renovation, which includes a rebirth for the bandshell, now called The Sound.

Jazz Holiday alum Buddy Guy is on the bill as part of the bluesman’s farewell tour, but so is the heavyweight Preservation Hall Jazz Band, rising star Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, plus world music from Gipsy Kings, classic R&B by Gladys Knight, and Americana from Dustbowl Revival and Trampled By Turtles. Average White Band, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Los Lobos, and the Mike Love-fronted Beach Boys round things out.

Tickets to Clearwater Jazz Holiday happening Thursday-Sunday, Oct. 19-22 at Coachman Park start at $30.75. Subscribe to Creative Loafing newsletters.
