Conservative icon Rush Limbaugh is in discussions with a group looking at buying without doubt the worst team in the National Football League right now — no, not the Bucs — the St. Louis Rams.
The NFL Players Association head has come out against this, as have a few black players, who don't think much of "El Rushbo." Predictably, the Reverend Al Sharpton has come out against this as well.
Nothing new in any of this. But it gives me the opportunity to weigh in on the fact that, bar none, if you're looking for tasteless if not flat-out racist letters to the editor, you'll not be disappointed if you go to TBO.com to read from the fair-minded citizens of the Tampa Bay area, on this or any other issue that affects blacks or Muslims. Never fails. I give credit to the folks at TBO that they've omitted several entries on this story as being 'inappropriate.'
