It's as if Project Runway cut their budget and auf'd Heidi Klum: See the art of trash upcycled into eco-fashion by amateur designers at the Third Annual Trashy Fashion Show the Largo Cultural Center in celebration of Earth Day (complete with runway show). Get there early to check out the Green Expo. Green thumbs rejoice! The St. Petersburg Green Thumb Festival is the place to be this weekend for those amateur greenies and gardening gurus alike, with horticultural and environmental exhibits, programs and seminars highlighting ways to landscape effectively, conserve natural resources, recycle, and improve the environment. The festival will feature a Children's Plant Fair and over 150 vendors. Saturday-Sunday, April 24-25; 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Free event.
