Yesterday another Democrat, former party chair Charles Whitehead, endorsed Charlie Crist in his independent bid for U.S. Senate.
Though not exactly a name that anybody who's lived in Florida for only the last decade would necessarily recognize, Whitehead did lead the party back in its last heyday of the 1980's.
It did come two days after a much higher profile Democrat, former "fire-breathing liberal" Robert Wexler, endorsed the Governor in Palm Beach County.
Although Meek dismissed that endorsement, saying that the two have always been friends (which is true), the trend has not been a positive one for the Democrat nominee, who has been targeting Crist almost exclusively in ads and campaign stops, seeming only to mention Marco Rubio's name in conjunction with Crist (such as his line that he's running against "two conservatives.")
WIth plenty of ammunition, Meek, through the Florida Democratic Party, is now airing a new ad showing some of Crist's greatest hits in boasting about his conservative credentials. Watch below:
