Tampa mayoral candidate Ed Turanchik today sent a letter to all of his opponents for the March 1 election today, suggesting that they agree to four different debates to be held in late January and early February of 2011.
Turanchik is calling for the four different debates to be focused on one particular subject, and suggests who should be the group or groups sponsoring them:
1) Economic development, with particular emphasis on job creation, sponsored by the
Greater Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Tampa/Hillsborough County Economic Development Council and Tampa Bay and Company;
2) Neighborhood and community development including public safety, sponsored by
Tampa Homeowners, An Association of Neighborhoods;
3) Transportation, sponsored by the Tampa Bay Partnership.
4) City finances, budgets and taxation, sponsored by the League of Women Voter
