In an upcoming interview with emo legend Bob Nanna, CL's Brian Roesler got the prolific songwriter to chime in on the debate about Chicago and New York style pizza, his favorite new music, and even the RNC and DNC.

Nanna, 41, also explained the secret to that seemingly limitless energy he has on stage.

Here are Bob's tips from the interview, which will go live online on Wednesday and hit newsstands on Thursday.

TIP THREE: Try not to talk too much before the set.

"After, you’re golden," Nanna told Roesler. "Before, take care, preserve it and do some warmups. I have a whole routine. As for energy though, the first two are key.

BONUS TIP: "Also I don't drink until the band before us is done playing."
