Like anything else in the world, teapots can get fancy to the point of absurdity (the Guinness Book of Records says that one vessel, “The Egoist Teapot,” is worth $3 million). We’re not expecting it to get that rich at Craftsman House Gallery this weekend, but the St. Petersburg arts stronghold is hosting more than 50 of the country’s best ceramic artists during its 13th Annual Invitational Teapot Show.

The works will also be on sale (think $95-$1200), but we’re not sure if any will be expensive enough to warrant a layaway plan. The opening reception is held during the historic Kenwood district’s Second Saturday Art Walk.

13th Annual Invitational Teapot Show opening reception. Sat. May 10, 5 p.m.-9 p.m. No cover. craftsmanhousegallery.com.
