Each year Creative Pinellas— a local nonprofit arts agency—dishes out various grants to the county’s brightest and most promising artists, and 2023’s lucky recipients include: Troy Bernardo, Jenipher Chandley, Marie Cummings, Kathryn Cummins, Dennis DeBon, Kimberly Engel, Patrick Arthur Jackson, Aimee Jones, Amy Wolf, and Agueda Zabisky.
Its opening reception—which happens on Thursday, May 4 at its Largo gallery— is free-to-attend and includes the first look and opportunity to purchase artwork from these local up-and-coming artists.
This year’s Emerging Artist Exhibition kicks off this week, but will be available for viewing at Creative Pinellas’ gallery until Sunday, July 16.
Creative Pinellas will also host a slew of artist talk events throughout the spring and summer, which can be browsed on creativepinellas.org.
