Do It This Weekend: Easter fun for kids and adults, Snap, Crackle & Pop at the Studio, Big Brother casting call, Art of Fighting, Stars on Ice, Black Maria Film Fest and more

A few of our fave Easter activities (the first two are family affairs, but the third is all grown-up fun):

Inspired by MOSI's current exhibit, Da Vinci: The Genius, and Leo's fascination with natural design (like the incredible, edible egg), Saturday's Eggspo offers the perfect hunt for junior eggheads (sorry, we couldn't resist). The science-y celebration includes a scavenger hunt, an egg toss using a da Vinci-inspired catapult, and a safe egg drop. Visit mosi.org for more info.

Sunday's Giant Easter Egg Hunt in Clearwater's Coachman Park offers pony rides, a petting zoo, train rides, an inflatable slide, two bounce houses, face painting and the biggest egg hunt around (meaning there's lots of eggs to find, not hidden ostrich and emu eggs). More than 20,000 candy-filled eggs are hidden throughout the park, and the Big Bunny himself arrives in style on The Bunny Express. Sponsored by the Clearwater Community Volunteers and The Church of Scientology (so beware of bunnies with clipboards); visit clearwatercommunityvolunteers.org for more info.

The Refinery is running its usual Sunday brunch on Easter Sunday,  but there will be an added bonus for diners. “We’re gonna have an Easter egg hunt because kids shouldn’t be the only ones who get to have fun on Easter,” said The Refinery's Michelle Baker. “Eggs will be filled with candy, bloody mary coupons and gift cards, and we’ll be playing some of the best Yacht Rock this side of the union.” Nothing like free alcohol hidden inside gaily colored plastic eggs to start the resurrection off right.  Eggspo, Sat., April 3, 9 a.m.-1 p.m., Museum of Science and Industry, Tampa, free with admission; Giant Easter Egg Hunt, Sun., April 4, 12 p.m., Coachman Park, Clearwater, free, Adult Egg Hunt, Sun., April 4, The Refinery, 5137 N.
