The Tampa Bay Rays hosts the Texas Rangers at the Trop tonight. If you can't get tickets, frequent your favorite neighborhood bar with a big-screen TV, order some grub and help the friendly proprietors beat the recession blues. Should be a good match. TB's leading in the American League Wild Card race but haven't given up on the American League East, behind the New York Yankees by one game. The Rangers have taken control of the American League West and are second place in their division. American League MVP candidate Josh Hamilton is a plus for the Rangers, but they may be a little gimpy coming out of the gate, down a couple men (RHP Rich Harden and RF Nelson Cruz due to injuries). Having one the last couple of games, TB has some good momentum going. The Rays have won their last four home series against Texas and is favored to win.
