In addition to comedian/actor Aziz Ansari's endless slew of bon mots and aphorisms known as Haverfordisms on NBC's Parks and Recreation, he has been doing his own brand of sociological research on relationships, and is writing a book about it as a follow-up to his comedy special Buried Alive.
Ansari told The Daily Beast that his own misadventures in love inspired his book and "Modern Romance" stand-up tour. "I wasn’t interested in just documenting my various foibles,” he told the publication. “I’m working with a lot of academics and really smart people to figure out how to study this stuff.” The funny guy will be sharing his unscientific findings tonight for his Modern Romance show at The Mahaffey Theater in downtown St. Pete tonight. Celebrate Tampa Bay's 10th anniversary of the 2004 Stanley Cup win at the Tampa Bay Lightning's Sunday with Stanley celebration. Fans will get photo and autograph opportunities with the cup and members of the championship team. Inspirations from the Legends of Huarochiri, Peru gets you up and personal to contemporary Peruvian artist Urbano Astuyauri Soto, who's visiting from Lima and exhibiting original oil paintings, will discuss the cultural and personal inspiration for his elements and colors. Astuyauri grew up in the highlands of Peru and will share stories from his teenage years, when left his village to live in Lima with his brother and attend the School of Bellas Artes, where he graduated with distinction.
