Do this: Creature from the Black Lagoon double feature

Get your Florida monster on at a Creature from the Black Lagoon double feature.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon and The Revenge of the Creature took advantage of Florida’s gin-clear springs to bring 1950s audiences... monsters. Filmed in Silver and Wakulla Springs (among other places), these sci-fi classics brought the “horror,” Florida-style. At Beaches, Creatures, and Cowboys: Double Feature, see both these films as well as mid-century springs, swamps and, well, creatures in all their black-and-white B-movie glory. Free. March 1, 1 p.m. Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive, Largo. 727-587-6715. largopubliclibrary.org.
