If admiring Piotr Janowski’s foil-wrapped palm trees around the Museum of Fine Arts wasn’t on your agenda this week, it is now.

The contemporary outdoor installation called Curiosity, in which the Polish artist covers eight trees with aluminum foil and attaches abstract, sculptural forms (suggestive of the human ear) to them, isn’t Janowski’s first. It’s a follow-up to his large-scale project this past summer, which made international headlines after he wrapped his entire Tarpon Springs bungalow and driveway — as well as the rented property’s palm trees — in foil.
