Fantasma Fest, complete with bed races and kids pumpkin patch, brings Halloween to Ybor City this weekend

The fest’s 10th anniversary happens Oct. 22-23

Fantasma Fest in Ybor City, Florida
Ybor City will kick off Halloween weekend with its tenth annual Fantasma Fest featuring free events for the whole family.

The fest takes place Saturday-Sunday, Oct. 22-23 on historic 7th Avenue in Ybor City. Put on by the Ybor Merchant’s Association, Fantasma Fest is complete with a pumpkin patch, local business trick-or-treating, bed races and more.

The Little Monsters Pumpkin Patch happens Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Kids can pick out a free pumpkin and decorate it before trick-or-treating at surrounding businesses. The Big Monsters Bed Race follows directly after, from 3 p.m.-6 p.m. where racers of all ages create a homemade bed on wheels and race down La Septima.

Sunday features Hell on Wheels, a classic car and vintage motorcycle show from noon-4 p.m. Guests can stroll down 7th Avenue to enjoy more than 200 American muscle and classic cars and motorcycles, local food, drinks and music.  It’s free to attend, but if you’re interested in registering your classic car or motorcycle, you must register for $20 before the event and $30 day of.
