Super Bowl Lenny had a close call this morning, after the former Buccaneer's car caught fire this morning.

According to Tampa Fire Rescue, Leonard Fournette was traveling northbound on I-275 in Tampa when his SUV set on fire near the Fowler Ave exit. The cause of the fire is still unknown.

"Engine 11 was on scene and reported one vehicle with flames coming from the engine compartment" said Tampa Fire Rescue in a statement. "The fire was quickly extinguished and the one occupant was able to escape from the vehicle, unharmed."

The Super Bowl LV Champ posted a video of his scorched car on social media Tuesday afternoon.  "Man it was one of those days today, but I would like thank God, my car caught on fire while I was driving, But I’am still blessed," wrote Fournette on Instagram.

Fournette spent the last three seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and won a Super Bowl with the team in 2020. Fournette is currently a free agent after he was released by the Bucs during the offseason in a salary cap move.
