If you're known for your twirly mustache, longish hair, bugged-out eyes and flamboyant fashion sense, chances are you've already been informed that you bear a similarity to a certain deceased Surrealist. But even if you don't match the above description, that shouldn't prevent you from entering "Double Takes: The Dalí Look-Alike Contest." Deadline for submitting video entries is April 23, which may have passed by the time you read this (sorry, Mr. Buñuel). But the Dali-esque can still compete for a prize by making an appearance in costume at the Double Takes Look Alike Festival May 10. The top three videos (as chosen by John Waters) will be screened, and live in-person contestants will get a chance to make a one-minute statement describing what makes their particular Salvador impersonation special and why they identify with the artist. First, second and third place will be awarded to both Video Submission and Personal Appearance entrants. Prizes include resort getaways, museum memberships and a $500 online shopping spree at the Dalí's highly entertaining museum store. Entry forms (necessary for both video and personal appearance entrants) can be found at the URL listed below.
