You have read the stories (we hope). You voted for your favorite (you better have), and, of course, you plan to come celebrate with us as the winners of CL's 2015 Fiction Contest are announced. The inspiration, camaraderie and sociable fun will be writ large in the CL Space tonight from 7 to 9 p.m.
The winners are 10 highly diverse writers who derived inspiration from all types of art in sundry settings — from local sidewalk sculpture to Dalì paintings to classic photos to even Dinosaur World. They used these wildly varying creations as jumping off points to concoct personal, visceral tales. The judge's winner and reader's choice will be read aloud by the winners.
As an added bonus, notable scribes and contest judges Maureen McDole and David Z. Morris will read from their own works, too.
A donation cash bar and complimentary snacks will be provided. Admission is free.
All attendees will receive the Fiction Issue the night before it hits stands on Thurs., March 19. Click here to read the stories if you haven't already.
Special thanks to promotional partners, KEEP ST. PETE LIT and Wordier Than Thou for their invaluable assistance in our competition and event.
The CL Space is located right above the Spaghetti Warehouse in Ybor City. Call us at 813-791-4800 if you have any questions about tonight's special event.
