You know how you and your kid always talk about how pretty the University of Tampa looks when you’re walking across from it on the Tampa Riverwalk? Let someone teach junior about the campus’ history.

Young historians in third grade and up are invited to take a 90-minute docent-led tour of the Henry B. Plant Museum (which occupies 14 of the original guest and public rooms at the old Tampa Bay Hotel), the hotel’s music room, grand salon and dining room. Gulfside Art and Science Academy (GASA) has more information. Time to get schooled on life in the gilded age.
