At the time of its release, Who Framed Roger Rabbit was the most expensive film to date (it took three years for Terminator 2: Judgment Day to come along and take the title).

The investment paid off, at least for fans of the live action-and animated cult classic who’ll probably be at Second Screen Cult Cinema and Film Tampa Bay’s Wednesday-night screening. Go watch Christopher Lloyd (who did not blink once onscreen as Judge Doom) and listen to wondrous voice actor Charles Fleischer in the 1988 film, and keep your ears peeled for Nancy Cartwright, who voiced a shoe in Who Framed before going on to become the voice of Bart Simpson.

Wed., Aug. 14, 6 p.m. Epicurean Hotel, 1207 S. Howard Ave., Tampa. 6 p.m. secondscreencultcinema.org.
