Prom at the American Legion?

Hard to argue when one of the people throwing the damn thing is Tampa’s prince of pomp and circumstance, Jeremy Gloff. The Bay area songwriter (he’s released an astonishing 21 albums) will play selector along with DJ $tephmoney, and all the prom regalia — think spiked punch, a balloon arch — will be there so you can get a redo on your prom failures from high school. A king and queen will even be crowned.

There’ll also be a chaperone on duty at American Legion Seminole Post 111, so Gloff is asking attendees to keep it clean-ish on the dance floor.

Sat. April 6. American Legion Seminole Post 111, 6918 N. Florida Ave., Tampa. 8 p.m. INFO.
