If there’s ever a time to have a costume ball, it’s Halloween. And where better than at the master museum of altered realities, The Dalí Museum? At this one-of-its-kind gala, complete with costumes, dancing, cocktails and music, Sueños de Dalí (Dreams of Dalí) promises to transport guests from St. Petersburg to New York City. Dance the night away, Big Apple-style, with scenes straight out of Studio 54, Central Park... essentially, all the fun of Manhattan without the crowds, snow or ridiculous puffy Gore-Tex.

Sueños de Dalí (Dreams of Dalí) | The Dalí Museum, One Dalí Blvd., St. Petersburg | Oct. 20: 8 p.m. $150; $125, members. $600, VIP | thedali.org
