It’s no secret that the Old Northeast neighborhood is one of St. Pete’s prettiest districts, but you’ll have the chance to get an intimate look at some of its humble abodes at next weekend’s inaugural “Art in the Garden” tour.

Hosted by the Historic Old Northeast Neighborhood Association  (stylized as “HONNA”) on Saturday, April 15, this event features a leisurely stroll through beautiful residential gardens, historic homes and brick streets.

Local musicians will be performing in these backyards and gardens alongside displayed pieces of art from St. Pete-based painters, ceramists and photographers.

“The Historic Old Northeast neighborhood is famous for its array of historic home styles, quaint brick streets and beautiful oak tree canopies. What might not be as well-known is the abundance of beautiful residential gardens and talented artists,” HONNA’s website reads.
Self-described as a “total sensory experience,” this neighborhood tour and art event happens from 1 p.m.-4 p.m. next Saturday. Both food and drinks will be available for purchase, too.

Tickets to next weekend’s Art in the Garden event can be purchased at honna.org for $30, or at a variety of retail outlets in the Old Northeast neighborhood, like Sunken Gardens, Articles, Dolin’s, Jene’s Tropicals, Willow Tree Nursery and Lida’s Jungle.

HONNA says that there are a limited amount of tickets available, and that there will be no day-of ticket sales.

For the latest information on the inaugural Art in the Garden tour, head to HONNA’s Facebook page, where updates will be posted as the event nears closer.
