Stream Netflix thru your Wii

The downfall is you do not have a search bar to find your favorite titles, and must instead use the category list. An alternative is to use your PC to search for title and add them to your instant queue. The only drawback there is that sometimes it takes a little while to update your account through the Wii. The fast forward and rewind features are not frame by frame, so it sometimes skips ahead to the next scene. But the videos don't stop to buffer in the middle of a conversation or an explosion, and the quality is very good — though not as good as on the HD-capable PS3 and X-Box 360.

In addition, the cheapest plan allows you to have access to unlimited movies, shows, cartoons and more all while you have access to one disc rental at a time. All and all, Netflix on the Wii isn't a bad deal, especially with the "one DVD out at a time plus unlimited rental and streaming plan" coming in at only $8.99 a month.

has been good using new technology to keep up with the "I want it now," fast-paced society we live in. Streaming movies was long the domain of the computer, but Netflix has expanded to your Internet-capable Blu-ray player, PS3 and X-box 360. The Nintendo Wii had been left out of the streaming party — until now. I just added Netflix to my Wii and tested it out.

Set up is simple. Make sure you have your Netflix account info handy, enable wireless internet on the Wii and insert the installation disk. The software updates every time you start the disk, and it keeps your history. The navigation is pretty much the same as the Netflix website, and only videos that can be streamed online can be played through the Wii.
