Tampa’s Florida Museum of Photographic Arts has announced a new exhibition featuring the Bay’s shorelines and scenic beaches.
The exhibition, titled “The Language of Light,” will be on display starting Feb. 3-April 3. Artist Suzanne Williamson is behind the collection of photographs, which highlight Tampa Bay’s shores just before and at sunrise. Williamson vertically stacks and combines her photographs to produce bright, color-washed scenes representing Tampa’s coast.
The museum hosts an afternoon gathering with Williamson Sunday, Feb. 13, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. and a Fourth Friday Talk by Williamson on Friday, March 25.
“The Language of Light” will be joined by fellow future exhibitions, “The Landscape Architecture Legacy of Dan Kiley,” from Feb. 18-April 10 and “Paul Caponigro: Impact + Influence” from Jan. 28 to May 29.
