Flip Satchel and Bill Freitas are back for your weekly drive-by shooting of sports and entertainment.

On today's menu:

The Rays seem to be sucking balls lately (today's win over the Padres 5-3 not withstanding). Did we see this coming? Did they peak too soon? Can they stop the bleeding? Is this just a temporary phase or a steady decline? And is Joe Maddon's unconventional laid back style of management the works of a misunderstood genius or another sad chapter of progressive new wave "leadership" spawning soft undisciplined grab-asses? One thing is for certain. Yankee fans still suck.

Stu Sternberg finally decided to point out the obvious. The Rays need a new stadium in a new location. Predictably, the Pinellas pansies went after him for the unpardonable sin of suggesting a new location in, say, Tampa, maybe. So the child no longer interested in the toy throws a possessive tantrum when other kid suddenly shows interest. Couple that with the simplistic "not-with-my-tax-dollars" crowd of ignoramuses and we're ready to throw a fit of our own. 11 million to Microsoft for a bridge? 1.3 billion to Amtrak? Sure, Barak. No biggie. Half a cent tax for a new stadium? Now, you busy-bodies get a collective wedgie and want to get involved.

PLUS: Tennis takes forever, the U.S.A. getting it done in the World Cup and why Bill just can't care, and this just in; moving blows.
