Bluth's frozen bananas

Directions

Unwrap your bananas and slice an inch off one end. Going through the cut-end, stick your bananas with the skewer of choice. Whether you use Popsicle sticks or skewers, make sure they are thick enough to support the weight.
Lay bananas on a sheet of wax paper and freeze for no less than three hours. This will get them nice and frosty without turning them rock solid.

Now for the fun part. While I couldn't find chopped peanuts (which I highly recommend) I was able to make some myself. Place unshelled peanuts in a Ziploc, seal, and find something big, bad and heavy to use as a crushing tool. You just want a rough chop so don't get too crazy.

Time for a double-boiler chocolate melting extravaganza! Just kidding. Break your chocolate bars into pieces and add coconut oil. Microwave for 90 seconds or until smooth. Don't forget to stir that shit. Now you've made your very own "magic shell" chocolate dip.

Pour your chocolate mixture on one plate, and the peanuts on another. Twirl your bananas around in the chocolate until completely coated. You might need to ladle onto some parts to get a full coat. Rub your banana on the nuts, making sure to get all sides (that's definitely what she said). Act quickly because coconut oil turns solid at 76 degrees so the chocolate will harden quickly.

Fix yourself a Cloudmir and tonic, and turn on Netflix. Enjoy!

Where once the words of Kitty Sanchez, "say goodbye to these, because it's the last time," rang all too true with us, the story of a wealthy family who lost everything, and the one son who had no choice but to keep them all together, now continues. Although the Tampa Bay area hasn't been graced like some cities with a banana stand, there's no reason why we can't enjoy what has often been the only profitable Bluth product.
