Butter's Burgers is moving into the old Anise Global Gastrobar in downtown Tampa

We need answers about the new pug in town.

It looks like a Butter's Burgers is going up in the downtown Tampa storefront that was home to Anise for seven years until it closed last fall.

The new concept—at 777 N. Ashley Dr.— is wrapped with an illustration of a bug-eyed pug, and we're intrigued. Unfortunately, when it comes to information, there's not much to tell. Other than the front of the building's wrap including the words, "craft beer, wings and craft cocktails," Butter's website and social media platforms are bare. Other than two photos of a pug (which one can only assume to be Butter) on Instagram.

When it opens, Butter's will serve lunch, dinner and late-night offerings, catering to both the commuting group and downtown Tampa's nightlife.

Creative Loafing Tampa Bay left a message for Butter, and we'll update the post when he new pug in town gives us a woof. More details to come as the opening date approaches.
