There's a little something for everyone included in this guide to local food and drink events going down through Sunday.

• Say hello to the weekend with the Friday Night Wine Tasting. Hosted at Redneck Wine Company from 6 to 8 p.m., the sampling allows guests to try up to six vinos without a reservation (though groups with more than 10 people should give the shop a heads up). $5. 3225 S. MacDill Ave. #117, Tampa. 813-837-0004.

• Also on Friday, Angry Chair Brewing invades the Florida-focused beer garden that is c.1949. The Tap Takeover kicks off at 7 p.m. with limited-release drafts, the SushiMotion food truck and live tunes. Free, money for beer and food. 6905 N. Orleans Ave., Tampa. 813-990-8883.

• Attention, pork pundits. Bacon & Beer returns to Rapp Brewing Company on Saturday, which is celebrated as National Bacon Day (yes, there's a food holiday for that). The Mobile Diner provides bacon-inflected grub throughout the evening, while the brewery releases a flight of four bacon beers: Lichtenhainer, Alx's Campfire IPA, Chocolate Bacon Porter and Maple Bacon Stout. Bacony sweets could also make an appearance, so don't miss out. Free, money for beer and food. 10930 Endeavor Way, Seminole. 727-544-1752.

• No plans for Labor Day? Don't miss Postcard Inn on the Beach's Weekend Cookout on Saturday and Sunday. After all, this holiday was practically made for the sand. Expect crowd-pleasing hot dogs, burgers and Italian sausages — grilled to order outside — from the waterfront hotel's chef. A lineup of live music, which hasn't been announced yet, provides the two-day soundtrack from noon to 4 p.m. Free, money for food and drinks. 6300 Gulf Blvd., St. Pete Beach. 727-367-2711.

• Starting at noon Sunday, DJ Wally Clark spins beats from the Wu-Tang Clan while indoor Shufflers enjoy bottomless Tang mimosas with their biscuits and gravy. Wu-Tang and Biscuits — a play on what the disks and paddle-like sticks that're key to shuffleboard are actually called — is essentially the bar and glorified concession stand's version of Sunday brunch, and speaking from experience, it's great coping mechanism for the inevitable workweek ahead. Free, money for food and drinks. 2612 N. Tampa St., Tampa. 813-450-3797.
