Tampa foodies can get a double serving of gourmet eats downtown next week.
More than 60 restaurants and culinary experiences come to Water Street and the Straz Center for their “Taste” events.
At Taste of Water Street on Thursday, April 16, guests will be some of the first to try bites from Smith’s Provisions, a new concept coming soon to the neighborhood. Also new to this year’s lineup are Dang Dude, Publix, Azure, Perk Coffee + Provisions and Back Bar, which join 20 more of the district’s culinary destinations.
Tickets for Taste of Water Street start at $108. A portion of event proceeds go to the Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay, which supports families in the Tampa area with children receiving medical treatment away from home.
After a few days day of digestion, Taste at Straz brings about 40 local restaurants to the downtown performing arts center on Saturday, April 18.
Participating spots include American Social, Bartaco, Green Lemon, Jay Luigi and Timpano. The night also centers around its drinks, with coffee, alcohol and more sips from places like Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters, Magnanimous Brewing and Keel Farms.
Tickets start at $105 for Taste at Straz. The event supports the Straz Center’s performances, arts education programs, and community engagement initiatives.
