You've heard of root beer floats and Coke floats. But what about mead floats?

Michigan's B. Nektar Meadery is teaming up with Mermaid Tavern and The Revolution Ice Cream Co. to put on a nitro mead float and craft ice cream pairing, starting at 7 p.m. Wednesday.

The Rev plans to feature its sweets for purchase and sampling at the Seminole Heights tavern, while two B. Nektar floats are showcased throughout the night. Guests will choose between the B. Nektar Cherry Chipotle Nitro Mead with Revolution Red Curry Ice Cream and the B. Nektar Pineapple Coconut Express Mead with Revolution Pineapple Vanilla Ice Cream.

Until midnight, the Mermaid's regular food lineup will be served, and beverages will flow till 3 a.m.
