Pinellas County residents can now get their hands on Gulf Coast Sourdough & Wild Yeast Breads. The Tampa bakery has started selling its small-batch, artisan loaves through the St. Petersburg Saturday Morning Market's online marketplace, a partnership that allows shoppers to pick up their bread hauls at two locations during the week.

Where and when, you ask? Along Central Avenue in the EDGE District or Wildwood Park on Thursday afternoons — whichever location is most convenient.

"We are thrilled to offer Gulf Coast Sourdough's delicious breads to our online market customers," said Saturday Morning Market manager Gail Eggeman in a statement. "Their products complement the fresh produce, fermented goods, Florida-harvested sea salt, and more that we already offer in our online marketplace."

Started in 2015, Gulf Coast Sourdough uses sourdough starter, not instant yeast, to leaven its recipes, which also call for unbleached, unbromated flours. Orders can be placed with Saturday Morning Market Online — launched by the local farmers' market earlier this year — anytime between 3 p.m. Sunday and 8 p.m. Tuesday.

The marketplace had 10 breads available for purchase at the time of publication, and they range in price from $5.78 to $7.48 per loaf.

"It's a great fit," added Brett Wiewiora, co-founder and head baker at Gulf Coast Sourdough. "Our Pinellas County fans have been asking where they can buy our goods on their side of the bay — now they'll have a great, convenient option tailored to exactly what they want!"
