To celebrate Tampa’s unofficial holiday, The Cake Girl is giving away baked goods and cold, hard cash.

Kristina Lavallee, who recently made a crazy St. Pete Pier cake for 727 day, is making 813 day (aka Aug. 13) a little sweeter for Tampeños by giving away mini cupcakes, a signature Cake Girl cake and three $100 bills.

Lavallee joins Visit Tampa Bay,  Sparkman Wharf and other Tampa businesses in 813 celebrations happening around town next Wednesday.

The Cake Girl Bakery (located at 14851 N Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa) is also offering a dozen of mini cupcakes for $13 (normally $23) that day.

Aside from making cakes for celebrities and appearing on TV, Lavallee is known for her “acts of kindness,” often giving away baked goods to local businesses, first responders and folks in need of a pick-me-up.
