The wines, of course, rocked since they were hand-picked by yours truly but the most popular selections were: Matanzas Creek 2007 Sauvignon Blanc ($22) - a soft, fruity, peachy number; Bogle 2005 Phantom ($22) - bold and like biting into a fresh blackberry coated with leather; Molly Dooker Two Left Feet ($29) - complicated with spicy black pepper, strong, green eucalyptus and black cherry; and Condado de Haza 2005 Ribera del Duero ($28) - elegant and sophisticated with dusty cherries and an earthy finish.
