The lobby inside St. Petersburg’s boutique Cordova Inn gets another upgrade when The Scott opens with crafted drinks and roasted coffees next month.
The Scott—a coffee bar by day and cocktail bar by night—will be in the Cordova lobby. The bar’s website states that it “keeps it simple and stylish with an outstanding menu of bourbons, whiskeys, cocktails and coffee.”
St. Pete Rising said the coffee bar partnered with local coffee brand Hogg Batch, which found a home for its own roastery in the Grand Central District.
“Bringing Hogg Batch’s product into the coffee bar was in line with our goal of incorporating locals who have the same love for St. Pete and the community as we do,” Founder and Chief Investment Officer of the New Hotel Collection, Tommy Del Zoppo, also one of Cordova Inn’s new owners, told the website.
In addition to an everyday brew, other Hogg Batch specialty flavors like the All Americano or the Cordova Latte will be available for purchase. Cocktails on the menu include The Cordova Martini, which features local ingredients like Banyan Reserve vodka, The Scott, The Burg, and an espresso shot made with Hogg Batch’s signature coffee blend. Pair a cocktail with one of their appetizers or small dishes. The initial menu will start off small and grow based on customer feedback.
Cordova Inn is located at 253 2nd Ave. N in St. Pete., caddy corner from Willams Park. The Scott will be open 8 a.m.-3 p.m. daily. Guests can stop by Wednesday-Saturday 4 p.m.-11 p.m. when the bar starts serving cocktails.
The Cordova Inn is now part of the New Hotel Collection that also owns properties in Indian Rocks Beach and the Smoky Mountains.
The historic hotel was built in 1921 and is walking distance to The Pier. And because the Cordova is historic, the hotel does not comply with the current ADA regulations—there are no elevators, wheelchair ramps or lifts.
