We’re back with a pungent whiff of fresh blood in the Tampa Bay restaurant pool. A new brewery opened, and four are on the way. Barterhouse finally made its debut in Ybor, Lakeland is getting a food hall… the list goes on.


Barterhouse Ybor City finally welcomed the new concept boasting a menu focused on sustainability utilizing locally-sourced ingredients. 1811 N. 15th St., Ybor City.

Datz The satellite location (Datz’s third) is open at the Tampa Convention Center, but it’s only available during convention center events. 333 S. Franklin St., Tampa.

HOB Brewing Co. Dunedin’s ninth brewery hosts a grand opening event this Saturday, November 16. Some of the beers are brewed on-site and the others are from a combination of local breweries plus local and international craft beer makers. 931 Huntley Ave., Dunedin.

Psomi The Greek bakery and eatery serves freshly baked bread and classic Greek dishes. 701 N. Howard Ave, Tampa.

Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino The joint welcomed four new concepts —  Cipresso, Pool Bar & Grill, a grab-and-go spot Constant Grind and a new immersive wine experience called The Cellar — and revamped its food court. 5223 Orient Rd., Tampa.

Sweet Buns The company behind Yummy House opens this Asian bakery which serves as a sweet escape for USF students. 2788 E. Fowler Ave., Tampa.

Tampa Pizza Co. Get ready for speciality ‘zas, salads and other eats at the newest Tampa Pizza Co. location. 4110 Henderson Blvd., Tampa.

Barley Common Expect this Warehouse District brewery and tasting room within The Factory to make its debut early 2020. 2788 Fairfield Ave. S., St. Petersburg.

Bayboro Brewing The tasting room should make its premiere by the end of 2019. 2390 5th Ave. S., St. Petersburg.

Brighter Days Brew Co. Tarpon Spring’s forthcoming brewery should have an opening date announcement around the corner. 311 N. Safford Ave., Tarpon Springs.

Florida Avenue Brewing Co. The Seminole Heights staple is expanding with a new massive 34,000-square-foot location that includes a full-service restaurant, a tasting room and event space. 2029 Arrowgrass Dr., Wesley Chapel.

La La’s Sangria Bar The new Channelside concept has a soft opening in late November, with a grand opening event on December 4. 203 N. Meridian Ave., Tampa.

Rome + Fig North Hyde Park is getting an upscale restaurant by January 2020.  The seasonal menu has dishes crafted with locally sourced ingredients and globally-inspired flavors. 301 N. Rome Ave., North Hyde Park.

The Brunchery After 30 years the Valrico OG has decided to expand into Tampa. 17507 Preserve Walk Ln., Tampa Palms.

The Joinery Lakeland is getting a food hall, and Tampa concepts like Gallito Taqueria, King State and Ava are already lined up to be residents. 640 E. Main St., Lakeland.


Burrito Boarder The drunken, late night burrito joint closed its doors for good on November 9, but within the next week or so, we should be seeing Grumpy Gringo move in. 17 3rd St. N., St. Petersburg.

NuMex The St. Pete restaurant quietly shuttered shortly after celebrating its second anniversary. 2710 Central Ave, St. Petersburg.
