Here’s what’s going down in Tampa Bay’s food scene this week:

  • Ebisu Life Store, a wildly popular Japanese lifestyle shop filled with viral snacks, blind boxes and obscure collectibles, will soon open its largest location in Tampa Bay. 
  • Matilde—a new Mexican concept from the team behind popular local spots like Boulon Brasserie, Forbici Modern Italian, and Union New American—is slated for downtown Tampa next year.
  • Say Coffee House, a new Vietnamese cafe, opened in downtown St. Pete last week.
  • Peddler + Potter Oyster House, a New South Tampa seafood concept from Bern’s, opens in the former Haven spot next year.
  • Fresh Kitchen is reopening its OG South Tampa spot as part of a facelift across its Florida locations.
  • Whataburger opened its third Tampa Bay location in Brandon on April 30.
